Pandit Pankaj Dixit

Pandit Pankaj Dixit is practicing as a priest for over 10 years. Educated in India, he holds a First Class Masters' Degree in Sanskrit in Arts History from National Museum, New Delhi, India. He studied Vedas (yajurveda) and Brahmanas in conventional guru-shishya tradition and a specialized course on purohitya (priestly worshipping and rituals) from Lai Bahadur Vidyapeeth, New Delhi. In 1993 he was awarded A scholarship and Grant for studying 'South Indian temple architecture' from Nehru Trust for Indian collection at Victoria and Albert Museum, London, U.K. Such a unique opportunity gave him an insight into Temple Rituals, architecture and religious literature. He has written more than 50 articles on various aspects of culture in prominent periodical magazines of national and international repute. To his credit, he has authored 3 books namely Hindu Mythology Quiz, Essence of Puranas and Essence of Upnishadas.


Pandit Pankaj Dixit Presently he is working on his fourth book Ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. An eminent scholar, he is a multifaceted personality on Hinduism. He is in final stages of a 3 year degree course on Vaishnavism & Agamas in temple worship from Madras university. He is mildly mannered and possesses astounding intelligence. He is married & has 2 daughters & a son.
